OMS Portglenone Charity Shop - Part 1

OMS Portglenone Charity Shop - Part 1

| 18 March 2019

One of the projects the OMS Portglenone Charity Shop supports is Ministry in Ireland. It has provided funds for printing literature being distributed in N Ireland and also gives financial support towards Ministry in the Republic of Ireland. In addition to this it also raises funds for projects in Haiti and Colombia:

One of the roles I have the privilege of carrying out, is acting as the liaison person between the Shop and the shops overseeing committee. As part of this role I visit the shop most Thursday mornings for a time of prayer and deal with any current business issues. In addition to this it is wonderful to meet customers, those who donate products and our volunteers and staff members. We praise God for His faithfulness concerning the Shop. Just this morning while travelling over to Portglenone the words of the hymn “Great is Thy faithfulness” came to my mind. On arrival it was just wonderful seeing the shop full of products and happy customers coming and going from the shop with bargains. The following are the words of the first verse and chorus of “Great is Thy Faithfulness”:

Great is Thy faithfulness
O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not
Thy compassions they fail not
As Thou hast been
Thou forever will be

Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
And all I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness
Lord unto me

The following are some pictures of products on display today and the picture of a couple who donated a lovely clock:

Donations of product is always appreciated. There is a collection of furniture facility available if and when required. We also have a delivery service available for our customers as well.

Due to the on-going blessings flowing from the shop there are opportunities to serve the Lord voluntary in the following roles: Sorting/selling of clothes and furniture in the shop and drivers and helpers needed for our shop van to collect and deliver products.
