In preparation for the event the team brought from America customised Shamrock branded chocolate sweets to give out at the Parade. On the day previous to the Parade the team attached the Sweets to post cards they had made for the event:

The Post Card introduced the team to the recipients at the parade along with two key message: 1. A quotation made by St Patrick: ‘One should proceed without holding back … to make known the gift of God and His everlasting consolation’. (St Patrick’s Confession). 2. Two scripture verses: ‘ Peter replied, “Turn from your sins, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your chuldren and for all who are far off – for all whom the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2 v 38-39.

Then on the day the team took part in the Parade and distributed the sweets and cards with these very import messages: A. that as believers it is our duty and privilege to share the message of the gospel and 2. All must turn from their sins and trust in Christ alone for salvation. If they do they receive the gift of eternal life.
